Chapter Leader
Meet the Kansas City Chapter Leader
David Blackwell
I’m an entrepreneur by wiring and design, but at my core, I’m someone who simply loves helping people thrive. Most of my career has been in the nonprofit world—launching two businesses, starting three nonprofits, and leading a nationwide organization that impacted tens of thousands of college students. Those years took me across the country and around the world, helping other teams grow. They were deeply rewarding, but they also revealed the gaps in my own leadership and just how complex it is to truly guide people well. That’s why discovering EOS was such a breakthrough moment for me. It was like someone flipped the lights on—I saw a much better way for leaders to simplify complexity, build stronger teams, and actually enjoy running their business. What inspires me most today is watching leaders reclaim clarity and confidence—not only at work, but in their personal lives too. The work I do now is pretty simple: I help leadership teams get clear on where they’re going, align around how to get there, and create accountability that sticks. On a personal note—I’m loyal to the places that shaped me—Chicago, where I grew up, and Kansas City, where I’ve put down roots as an adult. I’m a husband of three decades, married to my high school sweetheart and father to three amazing kids. We’ve built our life together around faith, family, food, and finding ways to bring joy into the room. I’ll leave the porch light on so you can stop by and join us sometime.

I’ve always been wired to bring order and a sense of calm to teams. We take big ideas, competing priorities, and scattered processes and turn them into something clear and workable. My path has taken me through small business leadership, operations, ownership, consulting, and the entrepreneurial grind, but the common thread has always been helping people and teams run better than they thought possible. Long before I became an Integrator, I found myself naturally aligning teams and creating stability in environments that needed it most. EOS has given me structure and language to the work I was already doing. It showed me a way to simplify leadership, cut through noise, and help businesses move forward with confidence instead of stress. Today, I partner with Implementers, Visionaries and Leadership Teams who want to move forward. I bring clarity, accountability, and calm direction so leaders can make decisions more confidently and create an environment where people thrive. My goal is straightforward: help good companies run smoothly and help leaders reclaim the life they’ve been missing. Kansas City is home base, even though my work often takes me beyond it. When I’m not supporting clients, you’ll find me with my family—somewhere between a Scout event, a local gathering, or simply enjoying time together. If we cross paths, I’ll likely be the one listening closely, asking the right questions, and helping pull the pieces together.
