Chapter Leader

Meet the Buffalo Chapter Leader

Stas Balanevsky

I'm a seasoned entrepreneur and Expert EOS Implementer® who knows firsthand the challenges and opportunities that come with leading a growing business. Over the past 30 years, I've built companies and led teams across industries as varied as healthcare, digital marketing, media, sporting goods, and international finance. That experience taught me how to spot patterns quickly, cut through complexity, and help leaders achieve results faster. I started my first business at 13 and never stopped. Today, I channel that entrepreneurial drive into helping leadership teams get aligned, solve issues at the root, and build stronger, healthier companies. Along the way, I've become a sought-after speaker, a member of the Western New York Vistage trusted advisor group, an EO Strategic Alliance Partner, an Entrepreneurial Leap Collaborator, and I serve on the board of Holimont Ski Club. I also host the Founders Dinner podcast, where I share real conversations with entrepreneurs building businesses across Western New York. When I'm not in a session, you'll find me skiing, sailing, podcasting, or mentoring future entrepreneurs through programs like CEL and the Laine Business Accelerator. I love working with people who have the spark to build something bigger and I bring energy, candor, and a relentless focus on results to every engagement.

Chapter Implementer

Steve McDermott

Mechanical engineer and operations leader with a degree from RIT and 8+ years of experience at Good Carbon Co. As Integrator, I have helped scale the organization from a real estate development platform into a vertically integrated business transitioning toward energy infrastructure. My focus has been on breaking through growth ceilings, building high-performing teams, and aligning multiple operating companies under a unified strategy. I am passionate about creating the organizational architecture that drives traction, accountability, and long-term success both for the business and for the individuals within it. I believe that with the right people, structure, and clarity of direction, any challenge is solvable.
